How can I rent a car?
Renting a car is simple and convenient. First, select your desired dates and times here. The system will show the available vehicles for the selected dates. Then just follow the steps to choose the vehicle class, optional extras, insurance, and enter the driver’s personal information.
What is the minimum age to rent a car?
The minimum age to rent a car with us is 22 years old with at least 2 years of driving license. However, drivers under 25 may be subject to an additional fee and limited to certain vehicle categories.
What is the deposit amount?
The deposit amount varies depending on the insurance options selected during your booking. You may add additional insurance to reduce your liability in case of an accident and, consequently, lower the deposit amount blocked on your card.
Wich cards are accepted?
We accept VISA or MASTERCARD credit and/or debit cards, provided they are exclusively in the name of the driver(s) of the vehicle.
We do not accept BUSINESS cards, MAESTRO, AMERICAN EXPRESS, PREPAID cards, or cards issued by virtual banks.
Where can I collect and deliver the car/motorcycle?
Autocunha Car Rental offers a personalized service close to its customers. In the Azores, you can choose to pick up your vehicle at the main office, the airport, or a hotel in Ponta Delgada. In Porto, you can choose the airport, São João Hospital, Aliados, or Campanhã Train Station. See our locations in São Miguel and Porto.
Do I need the toll device?
We recommend our customers to add the toll device to their rental. This allows you to drive through BRISA toll roads (Via Verde service) and former SCUT highways. The latter are motorways where the use of this type of device is mandatory. Passing through without an active device may result in additional activation charges from our car rental company. Personal toll devices are not permitted in our vehicles.
How can I cancel or modify my reservation?
You can cancel or modify your reservation by contacting us via email through the contact section and taking into account our cancellation policy. Modifications or cancellations may be subject to additional fees, depending on the changes made and the timing of the request.
